DANCING WITH DEMONS
A few months ago I encouraged readers to
check out a book by Jonathan Kahn entitled Return of the gods. In it
Jonathan showed how on June 28, 1969, following a cultural pattern from
thousands of years ago, demonic spirits were given the legal right to
manifest themselves openly here in America. New York City had to be the
center of operations, the springboard, for what was to follow. In many ways
it served as the ignition of the openly homosexual revolution in America.
What was once only practiced in the darkness was now being boldly flaunted
in the streets of America. The seeds of perversion that had been planted for
years, notably in New Orleans, San Francisco, Boston, and NYC, naming a few
of the most influential, now spring forth in all their infamy spreading
their deadly poisons across our land, and beyond.
1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant,
because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may devour.” We hear the roar of the lion in the violent, militant
outrage of those ensnared in the enemies grasp. Believing it is for
‘freedom’, the freedom to do whatever they want whenever they want but not
seeing it as a trap that satan has laid for them, they continue on the
course to destruction. There are those whose mind had been blinded as
mentioned in 2 Corinthians 2:4, but there are also those who openly sell
themselves out to satan making covenant to serve him and mock the One true
God, His Son, and His Bible in word and deed.
One definition I read years ago on ‘seeking
whom he may devour’ could mean ‘to swallow without resisting.’ That has
always held credibility in accordance with James 4:7 which reads “Therefore
submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” We, as an
evangelical body, have failed as a whole to truly submit to God, which
nullifies our part, and strengthens satan’s sway over humanity.
After reading the book mentioned before I
was expecting to hear of something ‘significant and demonic’ happening in
June of this year. Until just before writing this at the end July I had not
heard of anything. Then, in a newsletter from Alabaster Ministries, there
was mention of a Macy’s Infernal Rite Parade. Looking it up I found it was
on June 15, 2023. The center piece of the parade was a demonic caricature.
People were dressed in devilish costumes and dancing in the street.
This brings to mind the scenario found in 1
Kings 18. Israel had forsaken the Lord and was following the prophets of
Baal and Asherah. God had raised up a prophet named Elijah and had him
confront the false prophets of Baal and Asherah. The challenge was to offer
up a bull to their god but could not burn it, their god had to do it
himself. Picking up here with the scriptural description in verse 26, “So
they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it and called on
the name of Baal from morning even to noon, saying, “Oh Baal, hear us!” But
there was no voice, no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which
they had made. V27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said,
“Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he
is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping, and must be awakened. V28 So
they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and
lances, until the blood gushed out on them. V29 And when midday was past,
they prophesied until the time of the evening sacrifice. But there was no
voice, no one answered, no one paid attention.
Then Elijah’s turn came. V30 Then Elijah
said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to
him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. V31 And
Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons
of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be
your name.” V32 Then with stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord,
and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of
seed. V33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it
on the wood, and said “Fill four waterpots with water and poor it on the
burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” V34 Then he said, “Do it a second time,”
and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they
did it a third time. V35 So the water ran all around the altar, and he also
filled the trench with water.
V36 And it came to pass at the time of the
offering of the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near and
said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that
You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these
things at your word. V37 Hear me O Lord, hear me, that this people may know
that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You
again.”
V38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and
consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust,
and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
V39 Now when all the people saw it they fell
on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord He is God!”
Whether it is at Macy’s Infernal Parade, the
Mardigras, Gay Pride Parades, or the June 28th celebration for
Asherah the dancing & celebrating are all done with demons for satan.
Will you submit to God, resist the devil,
and walk as Elijah representing Jesus when called?
